Ohio man called 911 over his cat
A man from Ohio called 911 because he thought his cat was threatening him. He called, saying that the cat had been staring at him for a long time and acting suspiciously.
Police later responded and checked the cat and the place, but no actual danger or attack was found; it was just normal cat behavior.
The man was later cited for misusing emergency services.
Don’t give Larry the food!
After losing his delivery order twice, a guy asked the delivery driver not to hand the food to a neighbor named Larry, claiming he had already stolen it multiple times before.
Screenshots of the note spread across social media. The guy asked the driver to press the buzzer and wait for him because Larry would most likely be sitting on the steps, waiting for the food to arrive.
The Idaho inclusive bathroom map
Earlier this year, Idaho passed a law that makes it a crime to “knowingly and willfully” enter a restroom that doesn’t align with one’s sex assigned at birth in a government building or place of public accommodation.
Trans Affirm released an online “Idaho Inclusive Bathroom Map” that shows both safe and non-inclusive places.
“It can be scary for transgender people, who identify as one gender, to use the bathroom that is of the gender that they don’t identify as. Especially if they are actively transitioning and look like the gender that they identify as, it can pose a risk to their safety.” Trans Affirm board member Scar Rulien told the Idaho Capital Sun
Haaland brings home a stuffed raccoon
Haaland brought home a taxidermy raccoon from his World Cup travels. After Norway was eliminated from the tournament, Haaland was seen exiting the plane in Oslo carrying a taxidermied Whiskey Raccoon that he had bought in Dallas for $750.
Restaurant owner finds $12,000 in cabinet
A Thai restaurant owner in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, named Sak Yiengjuntuek, found $12,000 in cash put in a cabinet left behind from the previous owner.
Before that, the restaurant had been closed for several months due to a fire at the neighboring Furniture Gallery. When it was opened again, and during the cleaning up, he found the money in a sunglasses case while moving a cabinet.
Yiengjuntuek was determined to give the money back to its owner, an older man who had previously owned a Vietnamese restaurant in the space and had left the cabinet when Yiengjuntuek took it over. Yiengjuntuek even contacted local news outlet WMBF to document his attempt to get in touch.
