Neil Patrick Harris, an American comic actor born in June 15, 1973 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Harris very first debut was Toto in a local school stage production of The Wizard of Oz. He made his first Hollywood debut when he was 13, as David Hart in Clara’s Heart. This role got him his first nomination for Golden Globe. Shortly after came his second nomination for his role in Doogie Howser, M.D.
After his four seasons role in Doogie Howser, M.D. Harris started looking for varied roles to avoid being typecast. He played many different roles in drama and musicals, like All My Sons, Jimmy Burden in My Antonia, the broadway revival Stephen Sondheim’s Assassins and concert stagings of Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd.
In How I Met Your Mother, his role as a gay father of twins earned him two Golden Globe nominations and four Emmy nominations.
Harris won his first Emmy for his guest appearance as flamboyant music teacher Bryan Ryan on the show Glee. In addition to winning awards Harris also hosted major award ceremonies, like the Academy Awards, the Primetime Emmy Awards in, and the Tony Awards.

In 2006 Harris wanted to end rumors about his private life and to be able to openly talk about his love for David Burtka. He came out in an interview with People magazine. “I am quite proud to say that I am a very content gay man, living my life to the fullest,” Harris said, “For me, I fell in love with a dude and started spending all my time with him. And therefore, you don’t want to be suppressive of that.”
The couple share two twins, Gideon Scott and Harper Grace. They got married in 2014, in an intimate ceremony in Italy.
