Sam’s Club meals that beat restaurant takeout prices
Sam’s Club’s Member’s Mark rotisserie chicken is $4.98, and the club limits online orders to three, which says a lot about how popular it is.
That price is the headline, but the prepared-food case has more: a 16-inch pizza for $8.98, a chicken Alfredo tray under $15, a taco kit that serves ten or more.
Six items follow, each matched against what a restaurant or chain charges. Two caveats: you need a membership, and fees went up in May 2026 to $60 a year for Club and $120 for Plus; prices vary by location.

$4.98 versus $13 to $17
Several ordering locations list a whole Boston Market rotisserie chicken at $13 to $17, though prices vary by restaurant. The Takeout’s reporter noted that a three-pound bird at the grocery store, at $1.99 a pound, would cost about $6 before seasoning, which is why even roasting your own isn’t cheaper.

A 16-inch pizza for $8.98
Sam’s Hot Baked Café Pizza is 16 inches. Compare that to The Takeout’s price check of 14-inch cheese pizzas: Domino’s at $15.49 and Pizza Hut at $18.99. Deals narrow the gap. Domino’s standing carryout deal puts a large three-topping at $9.99, but at those prices Sam’s is still bigger.

Chicken Alfredo, $14.33 for the whole tray
It runs $3.98 a pound and feeds four. A single Olive Garden Chicken Alfredo is listed at about $21, and its family pan, which serves four to six, at about $62. FinanceBuzz notes Costco’s version costs more, at $5.25 a pound.

Butter chicken under $15
FinanceBuzz points out that Indian takeout for a family can easily run $15 or more per person. Member’s Mark Indian Butter Chicken is a family-size portion for about $14.98, already cooked and ready to reheat over rice.

A taco kit that serves 10 to 12
At $16.44, it works out to roughly $1.37 to $1.64 per serving if the kit feeds 10 to 12, as FinanceBuzz reports. It includes salsa and cilantro-lime crema and is ready in about 15 minutes.

The $1.50 hot dog combo
The Café’s classic hot dog combo is $1.50, with a pizza slice at $1.98 and a chicken Caesar salad at $4.98, though prices vary by club.

The bottom line
At $60 a year, one rotisserie chicken and one pizza instead of takeout save roughly $14 to $22 compared with the above, so a membership would break even after three to five pairs. Check your local club’s prices first.
