Should pets be … vegan?

According to the ASPCA, it’s much easier (and healthier) for dogs to eat vegan than cats. So, it’s not surprising that more dog owners than cat owners feed their fur babies plant-based diets. Still, the ASPCA warns that it can be difficult for dogs to get all the nutrients they need from a vegan diet. And since cats are ‘obligate’ carnivores, ASPCA says that a vegan diet is not “appropriate” for cats.
