If you’re wondering how to pack for vacation during menopause without overstuffing your suitcase—or sacrificing your style—you’re in the right place, girlfriend.
Summer’s calling—and so is your overstuffed suitcase. Sound familiar? If you’re sweating the thought of what to pack (before you’ve even hit the airport), take a breath. I’ve got you.
Your body’s doing its thing (bloated on Monday, fabulous on Tuesday), checked luggage is a scam, and all you really want is to look and feel amazing on vacation without packing your entire closet. Let’s make it easy—and stylish.

Step 1: Start With the Feeling

Before you even unzip that suitcase, ask yourself:
- How do I want to feel on this trip?
- What do I want my outfits to say?
- Am I lounging, sightseeing, or doing a bit of both?
The vibe matters, girlfriend. Dressing for how you want to feel makes all the difference.

Step 2: Choose a Color Palette (and Stick to It… Mostly)

You don’t need 12 outfits. You need a few pieces that play nice together. Pick a color palette that works for you—neutrals like navy or black, with a couple of pops of color that make you happy.
This is how you get more looks from fewer pieces—and yes, this makes space for that one “just because I love it” dress. (We all have one.)

Step 3: My Must-Haves That Do the Heavy Lifting

These are the pieces I always pack—and trust me, they earn their space:
- Wear-3-Ways Dress: Sightseeing to cocktails? Covered.
- The Magic Top: Hides the belly, covers the arms, breathes easy.
- Lightweight Denim Jacket: Adds shape, style, and warmth without bulk.
- Nude-tone sandals or flats: Walkable, stylish, match everything.
- Statement earrings + hat + sunnies: Instant outfit upgrade. Done.

Step 4: Pack Like a Pro (Not a Piler)

Get yourself a 4-wheel carry-on. Your back (and baggage fees) will thank you. Pair it with a tote that slides over the handle—hello, extra space.
Lay everything out on your bed or a clothing rack. Why? Because when you can see what you’re packing, you don’t forget essentials—like the right underwear. (Been there. Never again.)
Also… if you have cats, fair warning: they will absolutely try to help.

Step 5: Minimize Your Stuff. Maximize Your Fun.

Mini everything. Skincare, supplements, makeup—keep it light. Leave the hairdryer at home, especially if you’re headed to Europe. It won’t work. Period.
Pick one styling tool you can’t live without. For me, it’s my GHD wand. Yours might be different—just don’t bring five.

Bonus Tip: Style Confidence Fits In A Carry-On

When your clothes fit the body you’ve got today, everything shifts. You show up differently. You feel better. You have more fun.
